Summer 2014 PAR Training Open for Registration

Instructor-led training for the Summer 2014 Personnel Activity Report (PAR) is open for enrollment. The class, “BPARS 200” is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 12, in FREH 1-1 and 1-2, located in Freehafer Hall.  All staff who are involved in the PAR process, completers or approvers, should plan to attend the training on September 12 or complete the online course.

Those staff members who are new to the PAR process, or have never attended the instructor led session, should do so.  The first half-hour of the class is geared for staff who has attended previous PARs training and focuses on important reminders and a brief summary. After a short break, the information becomes more detailed for attendees looking for a refresher and for those new to PARs.

To ensure a seat in the instructor-led class, participants must enroll; there is no separate registration for the first half hour.

To register:
  1. Click BPARS 200—Personnel Activity Report to open the Training Registration site.
  2. Click “Add to Cart.”
  3. Click “Checkout.”
  4. Sign in with Purdue career account and password.
  5. Confirm that the registration information that displays is correct and click “Submit.”
  6. Verify that the section that displays is correct and click “Process Registration” to complete the registration.
PARs will be distributed during the session, and business managers are asked to sign for the PARs for their area. Participants who attend the training via Adobe Connect must have a business manager come to the training in FREH to collect their PARs. PARs for regional campuses will be sent via FedEx.

Online PARs Training Now Open for Registration
Staff who have previously attended an instructor led session and who prefer a Web-based BPARS training, may now enroll in “BPARS 100—Introduction to Certification of Effort.” The online course provides the same information that is provided during the instructor-led training.

Staff who choose the online course must complete their training and obtain a passing score on the assessment before 5 p.m., Thursday, September 11th. In addition, they must pick up their PARs in person either at the classroom session, 2:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 12th, in FREH 1-1 and 1-2; or from the Costing Department, located in Freehafer Hall. Costing will verify the online training has been completed before distributing PARs.  You will be notified when PARs are available to be picked up from the Costing Department via Business@Purdue News.
